In the movie Superman returns and the last episode of smallville what type of fabric was used the suit?

On the finale episode of season 10 of smallville and on superman returns are were used to make the superman suit.|||I think the cape is leather, and the suit is the same type of stuff as the Dark Knight suit, Rubber and Kevlar.
