Is there anyway a Green Lantern or any of the other Lantern Corps could win a fight with Superman?

I've been wondering for a while if there were any possible way a green lantern, a Sinestro Corps member, or any of the other color spectum members could win a fight with the Man of Steel using just their lantern powers (i.e. no kryptonite). For example, would a lantern need to already possess superman level strength to be able to go toe to toe with Sups or could they win using just the power ring somehow?|||Is there any way? Yes of course there is. The Green Lantern's are very powerful. Especially if it's the Corps. Strength is numbers always.





But here is the deal. Superman has said, he is holding back his power. It's not in his nature to harm. He saves people, he doesn't kill.





So if Superman went rogue, sure Superman would be defeated because he was evil, or being controlled by someone evil. But if The Corps went rogue and Superman had to defeat them, Superman would win. Superman is as smart ans he is powerful. He's learned alot about out thinking opponents from Batman.





And a straight up good vs good battle for pride probably wouldn't happen, but if it did, it would be a tie. Superman would just deflect and not attack. Eventually Green Lantern would stop or give up.|||In addition to being able to create a form of kryptonite, the Lanterns could trap Superman in a red sun. Certain of the Green Lanterns, such as Sodam Yat (a Daxamite), have powers like Superman. Daxamites are a Kryptonian colony that are weak to lead rather than Kryptonite. In addition, Sodam Yat possesses the Ion symbiote, possibly granting him the ability to beat Superman.





The Orange Lanterns might be able to defeat Superman by overwhelming him. Since they are all constructs they might eventually overwhelm him.|||Yes, they could use the ring to emit Kryptonite radiation if they wanted to.





However, they could use the ring in a number of ways to defeat him. They could make a construct...giraffe, human, anything, that had the same strength as Superman. Or, they could give themselves armor or something that would boost thier speed and strength to his levels. I believe a few GL's have shown the ability to phase through objects like the Martian Manhunter, so perhaps they could reach thier hand through his chest and crush his heart.





Also, the Green Lanterns were responsible for creating a prison to trap Superboy Prime, I believe. He is basically the strongest of the Supermans from any of the established universes. So that also helps support the theory.|||As said before, a GL could simply create kryptonite with his/her ring.


Alan Scott's GL powers are, I believe, magical in origin which would leave Superman vulnerable to them.


Depending on continuity, they could trap him in an airtight forcefield and suffocate him.|||Im sure all the Earth GLs could get together and kill Supes if they wanted to with their combined power. I also think they can also beat Batman (in response to the person that said somethin about Batman).|||yes, the ring has been shown to be able to mimic forms of radiation. including kryptonite.|||Though the question is pointless, yes they could. Superman is easy to beat. Batman....not so much.|||Without a doubt. GL could kill supes
