How can I subscribe to a Superman comic book series?

I'm wanting to start reading Superman comic books. I don't know much about them so which should I get into and how do I subscribe to get each one?|||The home page of DC Comics

has a "subscribe" link at the bottom, which leads to

Superman is a group of titles, each of which has a self-contained storyline, but which also crosses over with other titles in the group. DC places "chapter numbers" on the front of each cover to help readers follow the story from title to title. Currently, the titles are:

Action Comics

Superman

Adventure Comics

Supergirl

"War of the Supermen" is the current storyline, which is just starting.

If you can, visit a comic book store, or a newsstand. Try a few issues before subscribing.

There are many trade paperback collections available, reprinting stories from different decades. Your library may have some. The best value is the Silver Age (1950s-1960s) "Showcase" collections, which reprint about 25 issues in black-and-white for less than $20, and which do not involve a lot of character history, or collect enough issues to give you a complete multi-issue story.

If you want a primer on Superman, try:

(A pull box is like a mail box at the shop. The workers will put the latest issues of your favorite comics in there for you to pick up every week. This way you're guaranteed a copy of your favorite books.)|||Yea, I recommend starting a pull box like someone else said. You generally have to pay a refundable deposit, but it usually entitles you to a discount and at some comic shops you'll get other added benefits as well. You just tell the comic shops which series you'd like to subscribe to. The traditional Superman series is "Action Comics", and there is also just "Superman," as well as numerous other spinoffs and things. I don't really keep up with Superman anymore, so when you go, ask what a good jumping-off point would be. You may just have to jump in head-first and Wiki your way into knowing what's going on (that's what I had to do recently with Green Lantern).
