Does the superman movies better follow the comics than Smallville?

I am a huge fan of the Superman movies, not so much the comics or Smallville. However my fiance is addicted to the show. Note that he has never read the comics.

Anyway, I thought that Lois did not meet Clark until She worked at the daily planet, not childhood friends. So if they met before then then I don't think that the story would make much sense.

So basically who is right?|||Generally speaking, the movies (especially the first one) follow the comics more faithfully than the TV series. The very first movie wih Reeve (PBUH) still stands as an icon in the genre.

Smallville is a mishmash, but it can stand on its own. In my opinion, they should just have made three good seasons and left it at that.|||The movies are closer to the comics then Smallville examples are like what you said Clark didnt meet Lois till he worked at the planet, and that when his father died his biological father contacted him and he dissipears for several years for mental discipline training physicality training and to study his own heritage, and another is that he nevers become the Blur. Though i do like Smallville and the comics both,|||The movies are much closer to the comics than Smallville. I was never a huge Superman comic fan, but I love the movies and Smallville (which has done well creating its own separate universe).
