Would Superman be able to survive an atomic bomb hitting him in the head and detonating?

If that can kill him then why did Lex Luther waste his time getting kryptonite when it takes forever to actually kill him. The bomb would be instant. And don't tell me Lex couldn't get an atomic bomb. If he was able to get Kryptonite then I'm sure he could get an A-bomb off a street vendor or something.

Did Superman ever eat KFC?|||As to your first question, Superman would easily be able to survive. The DC Database says "He has taken a blast equivalent to a million nuclear war heads point blank and remained conscious". Another quote from the DC Database article on Superman is that "He has entered the Sun and emerged completely unharmed, he has even traveled through Krypton's Red Sun and survived physically unharmed, even though Red Solar Radiation depowers and weakens him. He has been seen to skirt the photosphere of the sun (100,000,000 degrees F)." So with the Official DC Database saying this...I am going to say that it would be Absolutely no problem. The only way that he may not be able to survive is if the bomb is laced with Kryptonite...that could prove to be a problem.





As to your second question, who knows? Does the DC Universe have a KFC? I do not think that it does, though it could have KFC's equivalent, I mean, Wal-Mart's equivalent is Lex-Mart...so maybe. If you are asking if he has had fried chicken, than of course he has. But KFC? No one but the DC Writers know.|||I'm not very Superman savvy but I'd think it would only be inconvenient for him - I suppose the blast-wave would bury him under tons of rubble and the radiation might linger in his cells (which might actually be a good way to keep him from interfering as it would be dangerous to be around him - imagine the headlines: Superman causes Cancer!) but it wouldn't kill him.





I doubt Superman did - can't recall him eating at all when in costume - but it's likely that Clark Kent did.|||Simple and obvious answer. It wasn't in the script lol





More 'complex' answer. Lex had ego issues. He liked to rub it in Superman's face what all he was doing to destroy him. So IF that were to of happened in 'reel' life. Superman would of had a chance to stop him and the bomb.





Did he eat KFC? Probably not. lol|||well if it contained Kryptonite I really don't think so|||Atomic is not a super power so no|||maybe an atomic bomb made of magic.
