Superman?!?!!?!?

hey, im doing a paper about heros, and i have to write about how superman was a hero, why and how he was a hero, i know he saved people and whatever...but i need more info than that, any help please?


i know nothing about superheros lol|||uhh... why would u do a paper about Superman, read comics or watch some of the movies, IDK!!!|||Many argue that Superman sucks...but how can you say that about a fictional character that has lasted over 50 years and is an ICON?





How do you NOT know of SUPERMAN? He's EVERYWHERE! But let me make this simple for you...


Superman is a strange visitor from another planet, with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men...faster than a speeding bullet...more powerful than a locomotive...able to leap tall buildings in a single bound...LOOK! IN THE SKY! IT'S A BIRD! IT'S A PLANE! IT'S SUPERMAN! (sorry...got carried away there).





Superman's alter ego is Clark Kent. If you check the CW on TV, they run it as Smallville. That's supposed to be Clark's younger days. His emeny is Lex Luthor, and the "rock" you've heard discussed is Kryptonite...pieces of Clark's destroyed home world (hence alien) Krypton. He was sent to earth as a baby from there before the planet blew up (his father was a scientist and tried to tell the planet of it's demise before it was too late[kinda like Al Gore, but without the good media buzz or political agenda]). He "died" for a while, being "killed" at the hands of Doomsday (or as I call him, "Comic Book Sale Booster"). Now, Clark is married (as far as I know) to Lois Lane and he tries to balance being a husband, a working stiff (is he still on the Daily Planet?), and a Superhero!





Of course the question must be asked:Why pick a superhero if you nothing about superheroes? If you needed to write about a hero, go down to your local Police, Fire or EMS station in your town...a lot of heroes are there. They save lives every day, and keep us safe.





If it was a character you needed, the Library has books full of them (even SUPERMAN!). As one person wrote you, do the research!|||Include this in your paper "You don't tug on Superman's cape, You don't spit in the wind, You don't pull the mask off that old lone ranger, and you don't mess around with Jim!"|||You should pick a really cool super hero to do like Wolverine or something not superman because he sucks...wolverine is the REAL superman


Wolverine is actually a man of steel (he has adamantium bones)


Wolverine cant die from bullets, explosions, or most anything you can think of, but he does bleed and heal where as super man just get the bullets bounced off (which is really cheezy)|||If you don't know anything about Superman - why are you choosing HIM to write about??





Pick a different hero - someone you know stuff about.





Or just do a google-search or get on Wikipedia and look up Superman. Do the research.|||Superman sucks look at his greatest enemy or weakness its a rock!
