Why is it Superman never gets in trouble with the police but Batman does?

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I have never seen Superman get in trouble with the police in any story he was involved in. Why is it he doesn't get in trouble with the cops but Batman does? They are both vigilantes. Batman is on the Gotham City Police's most wanted list but he always gets pardoned by Commisoner Gordon. That doesn't seem very fair.|||Superman spends his time in the day in public view. He gets his spotlight and is loved by everybody. Like they always say he's a boy scout. He does the right things, says good things, and acts right and polite in the public and to officers of the law. He's seen as honest and trust worthy.

Batman on the other hand spends almost all his time fighting crime at night in the shadows. He avoids the public eye and doesn't really interact with the law. He believes Gotham is his alone to protect. He puts out a dark and dangerous image to the law and they don't trust him for that. Batman did though have his time when the police were on his side. Then Gordon retired and it all went back to hell for him. No more police on his side.|||Superman does get into trouble. In the Vol. 1 Book or the DVD, "Superman/Batman Public Enemies".

In the book/dvd Lex Luthor becomes the President and uses his political position (along with an incoming cryptonite meteor) to trick world into believing that Superman has gone vigilante.

However, Batman also becomes a vigilante due to the fact that he tries to assist and proves Superman's innocence.

I could go further into great details but I rather not spoil the story in case you are interested. But point was Superman was considered to be the vigilante first and Batman later as he tries to assist Superman from Lex's true intentions.|||Read the early Superman stories from about 1938 to about 1941 or 1942!

He actually was hunted by the police as a vigilante at one point, heck in the 1st Superman story Supes got a confession from a corrupt lobbyist by threatening to drop him from a building,he also strongarmed Evelyn Curry into confessing that she killed a man(Superman #1,1939).

In today's world, both confessions wouldn't have held up!

Also until Batman #7(1941),Batman actually was hunted by Commissioner Gordon as a vigilante,it was in that issue of Batman I mentioned that he was officially "deputized" by Gordon and given special status by the Gotham City Police Department.|||Batman is more realistic than Superman, Batman can't fly or he dosen't have super strength like superman! Batman makes his own things like the cape to glide from high places, %26amp; more realisticly he he's on the most wanted list!|||superman is the best . superman doesn't get in trounble because sometimes he is working with the government and batman is very different series from superman. batman had different kinds of problems and villians then superman.|||Pretend your a cop, a normal man with a gun facing someone with the power of a god. Are you or anyone else in that situation going to **** with him. Whats a cop supposed to do?|||superman dosnt kick mortals' asses, he is good friends with Met Pd.

And, does it matter, an army couldnt take on Superman.
